Professor of English and Creative Writing Jennifer Brice has been appointed to serve as Gretchen Hoadley Burke 鈥81 Endowed Chair in regional studies for the 2025鈥26 academic year.

In King: A Life, author Jonathan Eig focuses on Martin Luther King Jr.鈥檚 legacy of faith-based radicalism. During his Feb. 11 lecture at 藏精阁, Beyond The Dream: Embracing a More Complicated Martin Luther King, Eig said he believes King would be horrified at how his activism and writings have been overshadowed by a modern, more palatable version of the civil rights leader.
Senior Bryan (Tai) Pham has been awarded his second consecutive Best Delegate in a Special Role award by fellow students at EuroSim 2025 for his role as chair of the EU Environmental Council. This year鈥檚 program focused on the European Green Deal and negotiating legislation aimed at reducing microplastic pollution.
