²Ø¾«¸ó President Brian W. Casey conferred degrees on members of the Class of 2020 during a virtual ceremony, streamed live from Memorial Chapel on Sunday, May 17.

Esther Rosbrook, assistant director of ²Ø¾«¸ó’s ALANA Cultural Center, will assume the director position on June 1. She is currently serving as the center’s assistant director.

On April 20, the professional networks hosted a virtual Q&A, featuring CNBC Washington Correspondent Eamon Javers ’94 and moderated by Alison King Haley ’84, P’23, political reporter for NBC Boston.

Following a yearlong search, Karl Clauss ’90 has been named vice president for advancement, effective August 10, 2020.

The ²Ø¾«¸ó Board of Trustees unanimously voted on May 2 to extend President Brian W. Casey’s contract through 2026.

The following citation was presented by ²Ø¾«¸ó President Brian W. Casey to Christian Johns ’20, winner of the ²Ø¾«¸ó Alumni Corporation 1819 Award.

The ²Ø¾«¸ó chapter of Phi Eta Sigma, the national collegiate honor society, has named Assistant Professor of Spanish Marta Perez-Carbonell as its Professor of the Year for 2020. 

Anthony Aveni, professor emeritus of astronomy, anthropology, and Native American studies at ²Ø¾«¸ó, says that to understand our current time consciousness, we have to return to a land before time — or at least, time as we know it.
