Members of the ²Ø¾«¸ó community gathered on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2023 for the dedication of the Clearing, a new outdoor space on ²Ø¾«¸ó’s campus.

On Sunday, Aug. 20, ²Ø¾«¸ó welcomed the Class of 2027, one of the most academically accomplished cohorts in ²Ø¾«¸ó history with a 12% acceptance rate and 3.97 average GPA.

One of ²Ø¾«¸ó’s most important employee benefits has been expanded to support children of employees seeking trade or vocational education. 

Abigail L. Palko, PhD, director of the Maxine Platzer Lynn Women’s Center at the University of Virginia, has been named the inaugural director of the Residential Commons program at ²Ø¾«¸ó.

Brown and Hancock Residential Commons at ²Ø¾«¸ó will both welcome new co-directors in the 2023–24 academic year.

Nobel Peace Prize-winning journalist, free press advocate, and CEO of Rappler.com Maria Ressa will visit ²Ø¾«¸ó on Oct. 28 as the speaker for the Kerschner Family Series Global Leaders at ²Ø¾«¸ó.

April 10–22, ²Ø¾«¸ó celebrated 13 Days of Green, inspiring and empowering students, faculty, and staff to embrace a sustainable future.

National Weather Service officials have recognized ²Ø¾«¸ó as StormReady® .

²Ø¾«¸ó has been awarded the 2022 Campus Prevention Network Seal of Prevention by education company Vector Solutions.

On Friday, March 24, more than 50 students were on hand for ²Ø¾«¸ó’s inaugural Undoukai Sports Festival, organized by the ²Ø¾«¸ó Japanese Cultural Community.
