²Ø¾«¸ó’s admission team has put the University’s Plan for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into bold action, with impressive results.

During its spring meeting, the ²Ø¾«¸ó Board of Trustees approved a series of appointments to endowed professorships, effective July 1, 2021.

²Ø¾«¸ó’s administration and faculty are drawing on national best practices and creating their own innovative approaches to increasing diversity, equity, and inclusion in tenure-stream hiring.  

Laura Jack, vice president for communications, will serve as acting CDO, providing coordination and oversight for DEI initiatives while the search for a permanent hire continues.

In its first year, ²Ø¾«¸ó’s no-loan initiative awarded more than $1.5 million to students.

Daniel Benton ’80, P’10, H’10 has secured his place as ²Ø¾«¸ó’s most generous benefactor, making a $25 million gift in support of the University’s Middle Campus Plan for Arts, Creativity, and Innovation and other elements within The Third-Century Plan.
